Job Summary
Install, operate, and repair mechanical, electrical, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, and structural systems while monitoring machine performance and performing preventative maintenance. Troubleshoot problems, make necessary adjustments, and diagnose electrical issues such as wiring load requirements, generator, transformer, and circuit breaker failures. Conduct visual and mechanical inspections to ensure finished product quality, perform minor and major building repairs, and execute welding tasks including arc and flame cutting. Provide on-the-job direction to new mechanics, contribute to continuous improvement efforts, and notify management of major equipment needs. Shifts run 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with variable hours of 8, 10, or 12 hours depending on work orders and season. Potential overtime exists.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or recognized equivalent
- Minimum of (1-3) one to three years related work experience in a maintenance mechanic function, or equivalent related experience
- Standing, walking, lifting 30 lbs. or more, pulling, pushing, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, crouching, near acuity
- Frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts
- Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
