Job Summary
Maintenance Technician - Electrical on the 7th shift (7am–7pm) at Baxter. Directly supports electrical equipment reliability and energy reduction initiatives through hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and project work. Lead installation work, maintain/repair electrical systems, document activities, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Manage parts, write job plans, support new equipment implementation, and maintain a safe work environment. Install conduit, junction boxes, and other components for machine/equipment electrical supply circuits; lead floor technician activities when required. Work with maintenance, engineering, quality, and production partners to support installation projects, troubleshoot issues, and uphold 6S, GMP, ISO training, and safety standards. Will travel for factory acceptance testing and training; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; capable of reading and following work instructions/drawings; proficient in Maximo and related documentation. This is a salaried non-exempt role with a base salary estimated at $46,400–$63,800 annually, commensurate with location, skills, and experience; benefits include health, PTO, 401(k), ESPP, parental leave, tuition assistance, and other programs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Associates degree in electrical/technical related subject area
- Minimum 4 years electrical distribution experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Basic English written and oral communication skills
- Able to perform basic mathematics
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be authorized to work for an employer in the U.S.
- Must understand and apply safety and quality instructions and read work instructions including drawings
- Familiarity with electrical standards and codes (e.g., National Electrical Codes)
- Experience with maintenance management systems (e.g., Maximo)
- Willingness to travel for factory acceptance and training
- Ability to install electrical components (conduits, junction boxes) on the floor
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
