Job Summary
Plan and execute planned and corrective maintenance tasks, minor repairs, and light preventive maintenance for building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. Conduct operational, safety, and site condition inspections while responding to work orders in JDE to ensure correct asset tagging. Coordinate work activities with supplier vendors, supervise on-site maintenance, and request advance quotes. Complete service reports for both internal and supplier tasks, monitor construction schedules, and proactively correct deficiencies to improve productivity. Available for emergency out-of-hours duties.
Required Qualifications
- Available for Emergency Out-of-hours duties where applicable
- Clean Class 5 or higher BC Driver's License and Abstract
- Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Excel, Word & Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to complete work in a timely manner
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times with fellow employees and customers
- Strong problem solving skills
- Must be able to pass criminal background check
Desired Qualifications
- 4th or 5th Class Power Engineering or construction trade certification in plumbing/HVAC/Electrical is an asset
- 3-5 years of experience in facilities management/mechanical/electrical service industry
- A handy person on the tools with experience around small repairs
- Knowledge and experience in Maintenance & Repair tasks, Plumbing, Electrical & HVAC systems
