Job Summary
Handle hands-on repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and pool systems while responding to work orders and catching issues early during property walks. Protect curb appeal by maintaining grounds, building exteriors, and common areas, then partner with the Maintenance Supervisor to prioritize tasks, approve purchases, and coordinate vendors. Keep clear records of materials, hours, and completion status, stay current on maintenance software, and rotate through after-hours emergency on-call duties including snow and ice removal. Follow all safety procedures and OSHA standards while using provided power tools and personal hand tools.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year in general maintenance and repair work
- A working understanding of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, CPO, and carpentry systems
- Strong communication and a genuine customer-service mindset
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- The physical capacity to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for long stretches, climb ladders, and work outdoors in all weather
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and property management software
- Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, plus on-call rotation
- Alternative hours may occur during snow season
- Take your turn in the after-hours emergency on-call rotation and pitch in on snow and ice removal
- Follow all safety procedures in the Employee Handbook, SOPs, OSHA standards, and on-equipment labels
- You provide and maintain a basic set of personal hand tools
- Within 30 days of your start date, please have the following on hand: 10" crescent wrench, 6" crescent wrench, thermometer, 9.5" channel lock pliers, 6.5" channel lock pliers, set of nut drivers, wire crimping tool with cutters, set of allen wrenches, phillips screwdriver, straight screwdriver, needle-nose pliers, set of socket wrenches, razor knife, hammer, putty knife, non-contact voltage tester, GFCI tester, tape measure, multimeter, drill, and drill bits
Desired Qualifications
- Trade school or technical certification
- Onsite multifamily maintenance experience
- Experience with Yardi Voyager, RentCafe, AIRM, LEO, Appwork, or similar CRM tools
- Spanish fluency
