Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for operation, troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs on commercial buildings, industrial systems, and maintenance equipment. Duties include troubleshooting and repairing building systems (packaging and handling machinery, plumbing, roofs, drains, HVAC, pumps, valves, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic devices), servicing and replacing components, installing/modifying equipment, finishing work (painting, ceilings, doors, walls), evaluating maintenance operations for upgrades or cost savings, responding to emergencies, inspecting for safety, maintaining fire and life safety systems, performing carpentry and snow removal as needed, adhering to codes and safety practices, and utilizing technology (smartphones, tablets, computers, building automation). Requires 2+ years of related experience, relevant technical training, and a valid driver’s license; may involve shift work and on-call duties; compensation $24.65-$29.00 per hour with benefits. Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of related experience in a commercial property setting
- Technical, vocational or on-the-job training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license (commercial license may be required) and good driving record
- Basic Computing Skills in Outlook, Excel & Word
