Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Maintain the building, grounds, and mechanical equipment for the DoubleTree Baton Rogue hotel, with emphasis on safety and security. Perform preventive maintenance and routine repairs as part of the engineering/maintenance team, including HVAC-related tasks (filters, belts, lubrication), door locks, guestrooms and public-area upkeep, and responding to guest requests. Follow the preventive maintenance program, check work orders and night reports, assist other engineering staff, and ensure proper use and storage of tools and chemicals. Prior experience in maintenance or building trades is preferred; maintain cleanliness of the work area and uphold high standards of guest comfort and reliability.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in maintenance or building trades preferred
- Clean and professional appearance
- Ability to communicate clearly (Speaking and writing)
- Ability to utilize basic technology including a smartphone and a computer
