Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry while inspecting and maintaining building systems like safety equipment and emergency lighting. Respond promptly to guest service requests for maintenance issues and troubleshoot malfunctioning systems and equipment. Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas and maintenance shop, assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal or landscaping, and work with contractors and vendors as needed for specialized repairs. Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance logs to ensure compliance with hotel safety and security procedures. High school diploma or equivalent required; must be available for holidays, weekends, and special events.
Required Qualifications
- Must be available for Holidays and weekends
- Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and special events dates
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in general maintenance, facility repair, or related field
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Must pass background check and have reliable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- technical certification a plus
- Hotel or hospitality maintenance experience
- EPA certification or relevant trade license
