Job Summary
Diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems to ensure community safety and functionality. Correct unsafe conditions like broken lights or damaged gates, while scheduling preventative maintenance on equipment to reduce downtime. Monitor security systems, maintain supply inventory, and respond to on-call rotations for emergency situations. Document completed work and report recurring issues or safety concerns to your supervisor. Provide friendly, professional service to residents and team members while prioritizing multiple work orders.
Required Qualifications
- EPA certification (Type I, II, or Universal)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or multi‐family housing
- Strong technical skills in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair, and general building systems
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and handle multiple work orders
- Strong attention to detail and problem‐solving abilities
- Ability to safely operate tools and maintenance equipment
- Good communication and customer‐service skills
- Ability to perform physical work including lifting, climbing ladders, and working indoors/outdoors in various weather conditions
- Willingness to participate in on‐call schedules and respond to emergencies
