Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for performing maintenance and other duties to ensure the preservation and upkeep of the building, fixtures, and residential spaces. Responsibilities include responding to resident/management service requests, repairing/replacing appliances, plumbing, and HVAC/electrical systems, conducting routine preventative maintenance, inspecting vacant units, preparing spaces for move-ins, and performing grounds work. The role requires on-call availability, weekend shifts, and overtime as needed, with emphasis on safety, quality workmanship, and customer service. Preferred qualifications include bilingual/multilingual skills, Pool CPO, and HVAC certification.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum two years’ general residential maintenance experience for LIHTC property
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and energy management systems
- Certifications/licenses as required by local, state, or other regulations
- Must have reliable transportation, maintain auto insurance, and have a valid driver’s license
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work on-call as scheduled and work weekends and after hours as necessary
- Must be able to pass background and drug screen
