Job Summary
Carry out basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC maintenance, including boiler checks, preventative system upkeep, patching, painting, and grounds tasks. Maintain compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care. Take calls on a rotational basis while living within a thirty-minute response radius for on-call requirements. Hold a valid VT driver's license with a clean driving record. Support patient care and hospital operations through hands-on maintenance of critical infrastructure and participation in construction and improvement projects.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Lives in the service area
- Must be in a thirty minute response radius for on call requirement
- High School or vocational school graduate
- 3-5 years of general maintenance experience in hospital, school, construction, or other institutional setting
- Ability to work/handle power tools
- An eye for detail
- Mechanical aptitude
- Basic knowledge of Federal/State/Local building codes
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow directions
- Computer skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
