Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for providing maintenance support across the manufacturing facility to minimize downtime. Performs repairs, preventive maintenance, changeovers/setups, and inspections of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Reads blueprints, tests repaired equipment, and ensures safe operation; collaborates cross-functionally on process improvements; may be on call for extended hours. Requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds, operate in a manufacturing environment with PPE, and use tools/equipment; prior experience in food manufacturing and lean practices is desirable.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum high school graduate or GED
- Experience with food manufacturing, and in steam related equipment, Lean Manufacturing and HACCP desirable
- Strong electrical knowledge and troubleshooting highly desired
- Experience with pumps, piping, instrumentation equipment, welding, use of hoists, cranes, and fine measurement devices is a plus
- Minimum 5 years’ maintenance experience preferably an industrial manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical devices, troubleshooting & repair, and safe work practices
- Must be comfortable with the use of personal computers and proficient with Outlook and Excel
