Job Summary
Respond to service requests and perform routine maintenance and repairs in apartment homes and community facilities based on work orders, schedules, and supervisor direction. Diagnose issues, determine required materials, and complete repairs including basic plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, and general building maintenance. Complete apartment unit turns by performing pre-move out inspections, responding to punch lists, removing discarded items, and preparing units for new residents. Maintain community grounds, buildings, and common areas by identifying and correcting maintenance issues, cleaning breezeways, pressure washing surfaces, and ensuring overall property cleanliness. Participate in on-call duty for evenings and weekends as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- basic mechanical knowledge
- Ability to speak, read and write English
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification
- EPA certification (either Universal or both Type I and Type II)
- experience with painting
- experience with plumbing
- experience with electrical
- experience with appliance repair
- experience with carpentry
- knowledge to identify and address landscaping deficiencies
- ability to troubleshoot and perform irrigation repairs
- desire and ability to address residents' customer service needs through clear and caring communication
