Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for repairing, maintaining residential homes, facilities, and vehicles for a national non-profit. Duties include developing a schedule of basic maintenance tasks, completing maintenance tasks safely and in compliance with local regulations, installing and repairing mechanical systems and structural components (appliances, fans, lights, flooring, doors, etc.), performing basic electrical/plumbing tasks, advising on outside contractor needs, reviewing contractor estimates, and supporting inspections. Requires high school diploma or GED with three years of maintenance experience, valid driver’s license, and completion of required trainings; must pass background, central registry, child abuse, and drug screenings. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour (annualized to $41,600). Full-time role based in Allentown, PA with nonprofit facilities focus and potential interactions with external contractors.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with three years of maintenance experience
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
- Complete all state and agency required training per state guidelines
- Ability to work safely with hands and power tools
- Experience with problem solving against multiple priorities
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
