Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of the property, schedules, coordinates, monitors, and performs all maintenance, service requests, and repairs; documents maintenance activity and prepares apartments for future tenants; inspects the property daily and maintains cleanliness and curb appeal; manages inventory of supplies and equipment; inspects equipment and building systems; processes shipments and billing; maintains logs for preventative maintenance and critical systems; reports incidents, injuries, emergencies, code violations, and compliance directives; communicates professionally with residents and contractors; collaborates with staff and may be on-call/overtime; additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) years’ experience with managing a multifamily or construction site
- Five (5) years’ experience related to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, appliance, HVAC, and building systems
- Knowledge of USDA (US Department of Agriculture), HUD (US Department of Housing and Urban Development), REAC (Real Estate Assessment Center), and DHCR (Division of Housing and Community Renewal)
