Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Perform scheduled maintenance and building repairs, including equipment testing, changing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, filters, ballasts, and routine plumbing or electrical fixes. Handle unscheduled maintenance calls for tenant comfort, minor equipment malfunctions, and locksmith functions while coordinating event setups and furniture moves. Monitor building operational supplies, track work activity in the Computerized Maintenance Management System, and escort service contractors. Respond to emergency calls after hours on a rotating basis and communicate technical concerns to supervisors. Requires knowledge of HVAC principles, basic electrical and plumbing, and the ability to lift 50 to 100 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of and experience in mechanical concepts
- HVAC principles

- Evidence of mechanical aptitude
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good verbal, written communication and computer related skills
- Valid driver's license
- satisfactory driving record
- Working knowledge of hand and power tool operation and safety
- Ability to lift 50 to 100 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders
- Ability to pass a drug screen and a criminal background check
- Self-starter, motivated, team player with the ability to prioritize work
- Demonstrated willingness and ability to work independently and productively and to accept direction
- Highly organized and excellent record keeping abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent level of education
- currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
