Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for the safe inspection, repair, installation, and maintenance of plant equipment and systems to ensure optimal plant performance. Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; fabricates and aligns components; operates forklifts and service trucks; adheres to LOTO/WAH/confined space safety policies; reads mechanical drawings; collaborates with production/electrical/operations teams; participates in safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives; requires 3+ years in industrial maintenance with a high school diploma.
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or millwright work (cement, aggregates, mining, or heavy manufacturing environment preferred)
- Mobile equipment operation experience preferred (forklift, man lift, loader, etc.)
- Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems
- Skilled in welding, cutting, grinding, drilling, and mechanical assembly
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals
- Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize maintenance activities independently or within a team
- Ability to work safely in varied environmental conditions and around heavy equipment
- Demonstrate strong skills in problem-solving, decision making and multi-tasking
- Strong mechanical aptitude with diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Works collaboratively and respectfully with peers, management, and vendors
