Job Summary
Perform routine building maintenance including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, floor care, and appliance repairs. Complete service orders promptly while maintaining scheduled and unscheduled equipment upkeep. Repair vacated rooms and ensure common areas like walls, floors, and doors remain well-maintained. Monitor maintenance supplies and equipment inventory, then maintain accurate records of all work performed. Communicate with local fire marshal, building inspector, and state elevator inspector to work within legal scope. Requires two years of prior maintenance experience in senior living, multi-apartment, or hotel settings.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least two (2) years of prior maintenance or handyman experience in a senior living, multi-apartment, or hotel setting
- A well-rounded general maintenance skillset, including experience with HVAC, drywall repair and texturing, carpentry, minor electrical, plumbing, basic repairs, painting, floor care, and landscaping
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently, with good time management and organizational skills
- Friendly and professional demeanor with a customer service mindset
- Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals, tools, and machinery
