Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing plant equipment (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic) and performing preventative maintenance to keep the facility operating at full capacity. Ensures safety and OSHA compliance, maintains a clean plant floor, completes work orders by deadlines, tracks parts and supplies, and monitors machinery to optimize operations. Reports to the Plant Manager/Maintenance Manager; works on-site in Pittsburgh, PA, on full-time schedules including mid and second shifts. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 100lbs
- Strong knowledge of industrial equipment and preventative maintenance
- Ability to work independently while following established timelines
- Must have or be willing to obtain COVID vaccination
- Complete work orders by or before the designated deadline
- Track and communicate parts and supplies to be ordered including pertinent details
- Maintain active presence on the plant floor following designated schedule to assist with maintenance calls
- Complete regular and daily tasks on time as assigned
- Monitor machinery for proper and efficient operation
- Observe and communicate opportunities to improve plant and mechanical operations
- Maintain company-wide DART accident rate at or below 2
- Other duties as assigned
