Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment and facility systems in a manufacturing environment. Supports production uptime, preventive maintenance programs, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Works with production, engineering, and quality teams to support efficient operations in manufacturing and cleanroom environments. Key duties include diagnosing electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical issues; servicing extrusion machinery, ovens, chillers, vacuum systems, cutters, winders, conveyors; performing routine preventive maintenance; reading mechanical drawings and electrical diagrams; installing and repairing motors, sensors, drives, control systems, pumps, and valves; assisting with setup, changeovers, and process improvements; maintaining maintenance records; supporting root cause investigations; collaborating on equipment upgrades; ensuring GMP and cleanroom compliance; maintaining maintenance areas; responding to emergency maintenance for 24-hour operations; assisting with HVAC and facility systems; participating in safety training and cross-functional projects; and liaising with contracted vendors.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar position
- Must be able to read and interpret manuals and written instructions as necessary to complete assigned tasks
- Proficient in the use of hand and electrical tools
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems, including relevant equipment and tools
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
