Job Summary
Inspect and repair playground equipment, paint park facilities, and operate heavy machinery including mowers, trucks, chainsaws, and forklifts. Perform preventative maintenance, renovate grounds, and address vandalism while securing buildings as needed. Prepare material lists, order supplies, and direct small work crews when assigned supervisory duties. Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with potential overnight travel. Requires a valid Class A CDL, ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and completion of annual work release supervisor training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One or more years of experience
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 to 75 pounds
- Ability to assist in lifting objects weighing in excess of 100 pounds
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's license (CDL) or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment
- Ability to obtain Certified Playground Safety Inspector certificate issued by the National Playground Safety Institute
- Ability to work flexible hours, which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to communicate effectively with subordinates and the general public
- Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions
- Must attend a work release supervisor training class annually
- Must pass a drug screening
- Must pass a criminal background check
