Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician performs essential duties such as reviewing mold conditions for required repairs, reporting necessary repairs to the Maintenance Manager, executing repairs as directed, and conducting preventative maintenance on molds. Responsibilities also include general maintenance tasks, maintaining a clean work area, assisting in on-the-job training, and adhering to safety rules. The role requires strong mechanical skills, the ability to use hand tools and various machinery, and a solid understanding of Machinist terminology. Certification in forklift operation is necessary, and individuals must be able to lift objects up to 100 pounds, frequently work near moving mechanical parts, and comply with safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- 4-years of on-the-job training in Machinist Trade Skills
- Certificate of Vocational Training involving Machinist Trade Skills
- Forklift Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Understanding of basic physics theories
- Proficient use of calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators
- Understanding of general Machinist and Tool Making Terminology
