Job Summary
Receive direction from the Maintenance Manager to perform routine buildings and grounds maintenance, including painting, dry wall repair, concrete forming, and diagnosing kitchen and HVAC equipment. Execute major repairs for electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems while responding immediately to emergency facility needs regarding safety, security, and business requirements. Conduct weekly preventative maintenance inspections of facility assets and assist with landscaping, snow removal, and custodial tasks. Maintain a safe facility environment by ensuring standards for equipment upkeep and notifying the Manager of unusual events or safety issues. Work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime while operating hand and power tools in various temperature extremes.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- At least 2 years of facility maintenance or carpentry related experience
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools
- Basic Computer Skills (Excel, Word)
- Ability to speak, read, write and otherwise communicate in English
- Class D Driver's License with insurable driving record
- Ability to recognize when a problem has occurred and communicate it to management
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, overtime
- Must wear the correct protective and safety equipment at all times
- Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties
- Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 25 lbs. regularly
- Lifting, carrying, and pushing 30-35 lbs. frequently
- Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Climbing steps and ladders regularly
- Wasting temperature extremes in indoor and outdoor environments
- Reading and writing work-related documents in English
- Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers
- Ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by co-workers
- Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks
- Bend, lift, carry, crawl, climb, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently
- Otherwise move in a constantly changing environment
