Job Summary
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, repairing or replacing faulty equipment, fixtures, and appliances. Maintain HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems as needed while responding promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies. Keep accurate records of all activities, monitor inventory supplies, and collaborate with contractors for specialized repairs. Ensure all work complies with safety codes and maintain clean work areas. This hourly, full-time role reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor in Charlotte, NC. Candidates must have a high school diploma, proven experience in building maintenance, and basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. A valid driver's license is required if travel between sites is necessary.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in building maintenance, facilities or a related field
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and general repairs
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, blueprints and work orders
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects or work in tight spaces
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures
- Valid driver's license (if travel between sites is required)
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
