Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Maintain day-to-day property operations by completing assigned work orders for HVAC systems, painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and lighting repairs. Operate and service backup generators, life safety systems, and emergency equipment while tracking asset lifespans during weekly, monthly, and quarterly preventative maintenance checks. Assist with special event setups, test emergency situations, and ensure compliance with all government and regulatory requirements. Create personal action plans to develop technical skills and certifications. Work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays in a 100% in-office environment. Support the SEE Centennial program goals of sustainability and energy efficiency while maintaining a safe work environment for tenants and vendors.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Minimum of 1-3 years' experience as Maintenance Tech
- equivalent experience
- Excellent communication skills
- positive approach to job
- ability to handle multiple tasks
- Proficiency in MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel )
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Software
- Must be able and willing to work varying schedules, which may include nights, weekends, and public holidays
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
- visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment
- close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal and expansive reading
- ability to wear the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner
- eligibility to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- vocational degree and/or certification in HVAC, construction trades or building maintenance
