Job Summary
Maintenance Technician performs skilled trades across electrical, heating, refrigeration, plumbing, carpentry, and building maintenance duties. Maintains records in CMMS, follows safety protocols and PPE usage, and supports student and staff safety. Handles interior/exterior center janitorial, building maintenance, and groundskeeping tasks, including repairs or replacements of doors, windows, walls, flooring, roofing, and other wood structures; repairs HVAC systems, furnaces, ductwork, plumbing fixtures, and electrical fixtures; uses precision hand and power tools; may transport students by bus or drive trucks (PIV); directs work activities of maintenance personnel; attends required staff training; performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Three years’ experience in electrical, heating, refrigeration, mechanical and carpentry work
- Valid State driver’s license
- Ability to operate power and hand tools
- Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, building maintenance & construction fields
- Ability to read and interpret schematics
