Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for maintenance service requests for the community, including make-readies, groundskeeping, pool maintenance, and preventative maintenance. Requires responding to service requests, coordinating with the maintenance supervisor, providing excellent customer service to residents, performing electrical/plumbing work, completing records in Onesite, preparing vacant apartments for move-in, and assisting with groundskeeping and other tasks as needed. EPA certifications preferred; High School Diploma preferred. Must be able to work a varied schedule including weekends/holidays, and have a valid driver’s license for communities using Low Speed Vehicles. Hands-on technical skills in carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical tasks, with strong safety awareness and ability to read and interpret instructions in English.
Required Qualifications
- Six months of maintenance experience, preferably in the apartment industry
- High School Diploma preferred; certification from an accredited trade school highly desired
- EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification strongly preferred
- Demonstrate knowledge of technical skills as it relates to apartment maintenance
- Handle tile work, carpentry repairs and all facets of the make ready process
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical and all other systems at the community
- Must have dependable transportation to/from work and be able to accommodate a rotating on-call schedule
- Ability to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays as required
