Job Summary
Respond to and complete service requests for residents, guests, and vendors while coordinating with the team to prioritize daily tasks. Perform preventative maintenance, handle electrical and plumbing work, and prepare vacant apartments for move-in by completing necessary repairs. Ensure community upkeep through groundskeeping, pool maintenance, trash removal, and painting, while accurately logging all activities in Onesite. Troubleshoot HVAC systems and correct safety or hazardous conditions immediately. Work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays with a rotating on-call requirement, utilizing dependable transportation.
Required Qualifications
- Six months of maintenance experience
- Dependable transportation to/from work
- Ability to accommodate a rotating on-call schedule
- Valid driver's license (for employees working at communities utilizing Low Speed Vehicles)
- Normal range of hearing
- Normal range of vision
- Normal range of color discrimination
- Normal range of depth perception
- Ability to read and write in English at intermediate level
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and plans
- Public contact and excellent interpersonal skills
- Attendance and punctuality
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Certification from an accredited trade school
- EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification
- Demonstrate knowledge of technical skills as it relates to apartment maintenance
- Handle tile work
- Carpentry repairs
- All facets of the make ready process
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical
- Troubleshoot and repair all other systems at the community
- Assist with groundskeeping
