Job Summary
Perform general maintenance duties on building and machines, including preventative maintenance, minor electrical work, carpentry, and cleaning, lubricating, and greasing equipment. Apply paint, varnish, and stain to surfaces, maintain assigned areas with 5-S standards, and follow plant job specifications and safety requirements. Complete required departmental paperwork, utilize the work order system, and adhere to LOTO procedures while supporting Quality and Environmental Policies. Requires high school education, 1-2 years of training, and knowledge of electrical and mechanical tools.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED
- 1-2 years on the job training verified
- Considerable knowledge of methods, materials, tools and practices used in electrical or mechanical areas
- Ability to interface and work from sketches and prints
- Must know and follow all safety requirements, departmental and plant wide
- Must be able to complete required departmental paperwork
- Have general knowledge of computer software and maintenance work order system
- Must know LOTO (lock out tag out) procedure
- Know the proper use of power, and hand tools
- Know how to use a volt Ohm meter
