Job Summary
Maintenance Technician opportunity at Brookside Properties in Louisville, KY. Responsible for oversight and upkeep of all buildings, grounds, and amenities; complete service requests and prepare vacant apartments for occupancy; timely response to repair requests including after-hours calls; oversee care, maintenance, and inventory of all supplies and equipment; operate within OSHA and EPA standards and follow Fair Housing regulations. Requires HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other building-systems skills; EPA certification is a plus. Bilingual preferred. Must have basic tools and transportation and be able to take after-hours calls. Walk the property regularly in varied weather. Strong emphasis on presenting information to residents, employees, and vendors.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required
- Prior maintenance experience is required, preferably in multifamily housing
- HVAC experience is required
- Having EPA certification (Type II or Universal) is a plus
- Ability to complete general apartment maintenance and repairs; experienced with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and other building systems
- Swimming pool maintenance experience and CPO is a plus
- Must be able to take after-hours calls
- Must have basic tools and dependable transportation
- The ability to effectively present information to residents, employees, and vendors
- The ability to walk the property frequently and regularly while being exposed to outside weather conditions
