Job Summary
Maintenance Technician needed for Brookfield Properties' apartment communities. Responsibilities include HVAC repairs and maintenance (cleaning, replacement parts), plumbing repairs and installations (sinks, toilets, faucets), carpentry (doors, shelves, countertops, locks), painting (drywall/plaster repairs, painting), electrical work (lighting, wiring, switches), and machinery maintenance (chillers, belts, pumps, fans). Requires 1-2 years of property- or multi-unit-residential experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and preferably HVAC/electrical/plumbing certifications. May require weekend work and a valid driver’s license. Strong customer service, teamwork, communication, and English proficiency are essential. Multilingual skills are a plus and compensation ranges with experience; benefits included.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of experience in Commercial Property or Multi-Unit Residential Property
- HVAC/Electrical/Plumbing certifications preferred
- Valid driver’s license may be required
- Ability to work weekends may be required
- English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Self-motivated, team-player, customer service oriented
- Computer and smartphone literacy
