Job Summary

Perform preventative, corrective, deferred, and emergency maintenance across assigned single-family rental homes, diagnosing and completing repairs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general systems. Document all work accurately using mobile devices and coordinate with dispatch and vendors to ensure timely service completion. Maintain inventory of tools and supplies, assist with renovations and quality control checks, and provide high-level customer service as the primary field representative. Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations while reporting safety risks promptly. Complete an average of 3-5 work orders daily with 85% or greater completion without vendor involvement. This role supports resident satisfaction and asset preservation within Maymont Homes' portfolio of 20,000+ homes.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in residential maintenance or related field
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Proficiency in mobile technology and work order systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to perform physical tasks commonly associated with property maintenance and field operations, including but not limited to standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing ladders or stairs
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull materials and equipment of varying weights (up to 50 pounds or more, with or without assistance)
  • Ability to use hands and tools to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls, including repetitive motions
  • Ability to work in various positions and access confined or elevated spaces as required
  • Ability to operate standard maintenance tools, equipment, and mobile technology (e.g., smartphones, tablets)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, as required for safe and effective job performance
  • Sufficient vision (with or without correction) to safely perform job duties, including close, distance, and peripheral vision
  • On-call, overtime, or extended hours may be required based on business needs, including evenings and weekends

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in single-family rental or property management environments
  • Certifications in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing trades
  • Industry certifications or licenses: EPA Certification, HVAC Certification, or equivalent
