Job Summary
Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems for production equipment, including Mark Andy Printing Presses, UTECO Printing Press, and Die Cutting Equipment. Diagnose malfunctions by observing devices, listening for issues, and using precision measuring instruments to adjust functional parts and control instruments. Fabricate repair parts and manage equipment inventories while documenting maintenance reports and communicating irregularities to production teams. Maintain a safe working environment by complying with OSHA regulations and follow strict safety procedures. Work 10-hour shifts from Thursday to Sunday in Guilford, CT, requiring the ability to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and work under deadline constraints.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of appropriate experience
- Working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment and procedures
- Experience troubleshooting PLC's, instrumentation, and other electronics
- Ability to follow Wiring Schematics and diagnose control circuitry
- Familiarity with OSHA and Environmental Regulations
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Previous print industry experience is required and troubleshooting printing related challenges
- Must be able to stand for the majority of the shift
- Must be able to perform well under deadline constraints
- Must be detail oriented and have excellent, quality driven work habits
- Willingness to work overtime, and if needed weekends
- Must be willing to learn and attend training classes as defined by Management
- PC literacy and proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Good communication skills and ability to work a flexible working schedule including shift work
- Ability to push, pull, bend, and/or lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
