Maintenance Technician - Briarwest

Job Summary
Maintain and repair multifamily properties to drive resident satisfaction and property performance. Respond to work orders, perform preventative maintenance across common areas (pools, laundry, clubhouses, parking lots), coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor, provide excellent customer service to residents/vendors, prepare vacant apartments for move-in, identify and address safety or maintenance issues, maintain critical building systems, and use maintenance software to track work and performance. Utilize a broad set of trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, framing, painting, roofing, cabinetry, pools, appliances) and be willing to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays. Must have tools, be within 30 minutes of the community, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of general maintenance/general repair experience
- EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification strongly preferred
- Trade skills including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, framing, painting, roofing, cabinetry, pools, appliance
- Trade Licensing preferred but not required
- Must have own hand tools
- Must live within 30 minutes of community
- Must be willing to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays
- Must have dependable transportation and be able to accommodate a rotating on-call schedule
- Must be able to perform physical requirements of the job such as lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 pounds
