Job Summary
Maintenance Technician at Bozzuto responsible for HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repairs, preventative maintenance, and turnover work to prepare vacant apartments. Provides exceptional customer service to residents, performs general upkeep and grounds maintenance, and participates in on-call rotations including weekends/evenings and after-hours emergencies. Candidate should have experience in building maintenance or trades, be proficient in HVAC/plumbing/electrical/appliance repair, be available for emergency on-call situations, and possess strong communication and computer skills. The role includes eventually earning EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant Certification (fully paid by Bozzuto) after 12 months and offers competitive compensation, benefits, PTO, 401k, and tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in building maintenance or an education in the trades
- Beginner to intermediate proficiency in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repair
- Availability for emergency situations at the property, including an on-call rotation
- The ability to exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly
- Personal, reliable transportation to get to work and to respond to on-call emergencies
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- A sharp professional appearance
- Basic computer skills and comfort using various software, apps and computer programs
- A service mentality and a thirst for learning
