Job Summary
Resolve maintenance issues in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair while handling service ticket resolution and preventative maintenance. Prepare vacant apartments for move-in through turn-over repairs and improvements, and preserve building safety through general upkeep, cleanliness, snow removal, and grounds maintenance. Provide residents with outstanding customer service and respond to after-hour emergencies via weekend, evening, and on-call rotation. Requires experience in building maintenance or trades education, proficiency in repair systems, and ability to exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently. This role offers a salary range of $50,000—$53,000 USD, with eligibility for an EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant Certification after 12 months, plus health, dental, vision, paid time off, 401k matching, and tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in building maintenance or an education in the trades
- Beginner to intermediate proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliance repair
- Availability for emergency situations at the property, including an on-call rotation
- The ability to exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly
- Personal, reliable transportation to get to work and to respond to on-call emergencies
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- A sharp professional appearance
- Basic computer skills and comfort using various software, apps and computer programs
- A service mentality and a thirst for learning
- Working weekends or evenings and being on call for after hour emergencies
