Job Summary
Carry out corrective, preventative, cosmetic, and emergency property maintenance for the apartment community, including appliance, carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs. Ensure all service requests are completed correctly and in a timely manner while performing work necessary to make vacant apartments ready for lease, including cleaning. Report any building, ground, or system issues to the supervisor for further corrective action. Work with a team of technicians, communicate effectively with residents, colleagues, administrative staff, and vendors, and adhere to a rotational on-call schedule including overtime and weekends. Bring your own tools and maintain reliable transportation.
Required Qualifications
- One year experience in carpentry, flooring, plumbing, electrical, or painting
- Ability to lift 75 Lbs. or more
- Ability to engage in physical activities such as walking, crouching, bending, reaching small spaces, standing prolonged periods
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to read
- Ability to write
- Ability to perform basic math
- Ability to bring own tools
- Ability to have reliable transportation
- Eligibility to work in the USA
- Ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the USA
- Ability to work a rotational on-call schedule
- Ability to work overtime
