Job Summary

Perform repairs and troubleshooting for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and appliances, including wallboard repair, countertop replacement, lock repairs, and painting. Inspect properties to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns while assisting with emergencies like snow removal, floods, and fires. Complete and document work orders and maintenance logs, support inventory management, and deliver resident communications. Interact courteously with residents to address requests promptly and contribute to retention efforts through high standards of upkeep. Conduct regular preventive maintenance and inspections as scheduled or directed. Participate in after-hours on-call rotations for emergency response. Regular schedule with potential for overtime, weekends, and on-call duties.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in property maintenance or a related field.
  • Proficiency in basic tools and equipment.
  • Basic skills with Microsoft Suite and work order software.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and proof of insurance.
  • Lift and move up to 75 pounds.
  • Work on ladders, climb stairs, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Tolerate extreme weather conditions.
  • Regular schedule with potential for overtime, weekends, and on-call duties.

Desired Qualifications

  • Fair Housing Certification (recent or willing to obtain).
  • 1-3 years of experience in affordable housing maintenance.
  • Familiarity with REAC/NSPIRE inspections.
