Job Summary
Perform repairs and troubleshooting for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and appliances while inspecting properties to identify safety concerns. Handle tasks including wallboard repair, countertop replacement, lock repairs, and painting, and assist with emergencies such as snow removal, floods, and fires. Conduct regular maintenance and inspections as scheduled, operate tools safely, and document work orders and maintenance logs. Interact courteously with residents to address requests promptly and support inventory management and vendor coordination. Participate in after-hours on-call rotations and respond to emergencies promptly. Travel to assigned properties as required, with a regular schedule including potential overtime, weekends, and on-call duties.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience in property maintenance or a related field
- Proficiency in basic tools and equipment
- Basic skills with Microsoft Suite and work order software
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable vehicle
- Proof of insurance
- Lift and move up to 75 pounds
- Work on ladders
- Climb stairs
- Perform repetitive motions
- Tolerate extreme weather conditions

Desired Qualifications
- Fair Housing Certification (recent or willing to obtain)
- 1-3 years of experience in affordable housing maintenance
- Familiarity with REAC/NSPIRE inspections
