Job Summary
Repair and maintain a wide range of processing equipment across the facility, ensuring safety and food-safety compliance with OSHA, GMP, and SQF standards. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and develop sustainable solutions for PLC-controlled equipment, electrical systems, and hydraulic/pneumatic components, including reading and interpreting electrical drawings up to 480v. Complete assigned work orders within allotted time, maintain detailed logs and inventory records, and assist with equipment changeovers and line startups. Participate in cross-functional continuous improvement projects and report daily shifts via email. Work 4am to 12:30 p.m. M-F shifts with overtime opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Basic computer skills – including but not limited to Microsoft office and Apple products
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment exams: video interview, personality exam, physical exam, mechanical aptitude exam
- Ability to work 10+ hour shifts
- Ability to lift 55+ pounds
- Ability to stand, climb, and/or stoop for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to perform repetitive motions
- Ability to work in an environment with varying degrees of temperatures and humidity
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree and/or Technical School certification or training in basic electricity/mechanical
- 3+ years' experience maintaining manufacturing systems and equipment in an automated facility
- Training/experience with compressed air systems
- Experience with water heaters
- Experience with pneumatics
- Experience with hydraulics
- Basic refrigeration knowledge
- Working knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot PLC's
- Working knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot VFD's
- Working knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot HMI's
- Ability to work and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to adapt to frequent changes
- Ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions with a high level of detail and accuracy
- Willingness to learn and grow through experience and training
