Job Summary
Maintain machinery, buildings, and mechanical equipment to ensure production stays in operation by completing preventative maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production dryers, and large capacity horizontal blenders. Read diagrams, troubleshoot issues, and locate problem sources to prevent downtime while using power and hand tools to dismantle, examine, and repair defective equipment. Control downtime by communicating with production managers to schedule maintenance and assist in fabrication and repair using shop equipment. Maintain detailed logs of work completed and follow-up on work orders, ensuring all safety procedures and Lock-Out Tag-Out protocols are followed. This role supports line development, production, and sanitation functions within a fast-paced environment requiring basic knowledge of mechanics, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and pneumatics.
