Job Summary
Perform maintenance and repair functions on plant equipment, including disassembly, cleaning, troubleshooting, precision repairs, and modifications. Operate industrial-grade equipment, MIG/TIG/Arc welding units, plasma cutters, and oxy-acetylene tools while reading electrical blueprints and using precision measuring instruments. Safely operate forklifts, power tools, and hand tools, adhering to all safety policies and protocols. Work under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure smooth plant operations. This full-time, hourly, non-exempt role requires a high school diploma, mechanical aptitude, and experience with industrial machinery in a plant environment at Gowan Milling Blytheville.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Troubleshooting skills
- Experience working with industrial-grade equipment
- Proficient in MIG, TIG, and Arc welding techniques
- Knowledge of safety protocols in an industrial environment
- Ability to read and follow electrical blueprints and plans
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work at heights
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing over 50 lbs (occasional)
- Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, push, pull, and crawl
- Must be comfortable working at heights
- Must be comfortable working in varying conditions

Desired Qualifications
