Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for preventive and routine maintenance on plant equipment, assisting operators with minor maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime, installing or upgrading equipment, managing spare parts, and documenting work. Emphasizes safe work practices, cross-functional collaboration with machine operators, and data-driven actions to reduce recurring repairs. Requires 4+ years of skilled trades maintenance experience, strong understanding of mechanical power transfer systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical & electronics, reading schematics, and forklift/rigger proficiency. Shift is 8-hour nights five days a week (11pm–7am) in a plant environment with exposure to variable conditions; offers benefits including health and retirement plans and tuition assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required. Certificate, degree or apprenticeship in maintenance, millwrighting, electrical or a mechanical trade.
- 4+ years' experience as a highly skilled tradesperson in maintenance of mechanical power transfer systems, pneumatics, electrical and electronics and hydraulics.
- Basic welding and fabrication expertise preferred.
- Competence reading electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Fork truck operation and rigging experience.
