Job Summary
Complete service requests and maintenance work orders for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and building systems while performing preventative maintenance on community equipment and grounds. Conduct routine inspections of buildings, amenities, and common areas to identify safety concerns, preparing vacant units for new residents through make-ready and turn processes. Assist with emergency maintenance situations and participate in an on-call rotation as required, ensuring all work complies with safety standards and company policies. Maintain accurate records of completed activities and manage inventory of supplies and equipment. This role supports community improvement projects and requires a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic computer and mobile technology skills for work order management systems and communication platforms
- Valid driver's license
- Current automobile insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials as required by the position
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Previous apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or related experience
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general maintenance practices
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment

- HVAC certification
- Additional industry certifications
