Job Summary
Maintain and repair buildings including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, landscaping, painting, cleaning, appliances, pools, utilities, elevators, fencing/gates, and fire systems. Complete all service requests or work orders within 24 hours and log assigned work orders accurately. Prepare vacant apartments for turnover through maintenance, painting, cleaning, and carpet cleaning. Replace worn or damaged parts on equipment such as trucks and street sweepers. Assist in ordering supplies and clean internal and external building areas. Requires EPA I or II, Universal, or HVAC certification; CPO certification and pool maintenance experience are a plus. Must have supervisory experience and proficiency with property management software. Full-time role at an affordable apartment community in Washington, DC.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, or GED equivalency
- minimum of 1-2 years direct experience as a Make Ready or Maintenance Technician for an apartment community
- EPA I or II certification
- Universal or HVAC certification
- supervisory experience
