Job Summary
Hotel Engineer/Maintenance Technician at Embassy Suites responsible for troubleshooting and repairing hotel equipment, facilities, and systems (including HVAC and electrical), performing preventative maintenance, inspections, and coordinating maintenance staff to diagnose potential problems while staying within budget. Responsibilities include routine building maintenance (structural, plumbing, electrical, HVAC), safety compliance, painting and finishing work, maintaining inventory and records, training maintenance staff, ensuring guest room equipment operates properly, reporting major issues to the General Manager, and upholding company policies and procedures to support guest satisfaction and hotel operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree, technical school and/or equivalent experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
- Must have basic Reading, Writing, and Math skills.
- Valid driver’s license required
- Customer Service Skills required.
- Prioritization and time management skills required.
- Must have a strong attention to detail
