Job Summary
Maintenance Technician on first shift responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing injection molding machines, robotics, and plant infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable, and continuous production in a high-volume automotive plastics manufacturing environment. Requires hands-on experience with injection molding, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting (hydraulics, pneumatics, basic electrical), reading technical manuals and schematics, diagnosing issues quickly under pressure, and adapting to a fast-paced, less-structured setting. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, equipment repair, maintaining uptime, supporting mold changes, coordinating with process engineering and quality teams, and ensuring safety compliance (LOTO/OSHA). Familiarity with automation systems, EOAT, robotics, and PLC troubleshooting is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Injection molding experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills (hydraulics, pneumatics, basic electrical)
- Experience working directly on production equipment
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues independently under pressure
- Experience with plant utilities and auxiliary equipment (compressors, vacuum systems, cooling towers, dryers)
- Ability to read technical manuals and electrical schematics
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing priorities
