Job Summary
Receives service work orders and completes repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and grounds systems within established time frames, prioritizing 24-hour service completion. Polices grounds daily and throughout the day, performing tasks such as planting, pruning, and removing foliage as requested. Refurbishes vacant units within five working days and assists with preventative maintenance inspections. Operates various equipment and tools while reporting property losses, injuries, and incidents to appropriate parties. Maintains 24-hour on-call status and complies with all local, state, and federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum one year demonstrated experience in the maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical systems, plumbing and groundskeeping
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License and reliable private transportation
- English language proficiency both written and verbal
- Knowledge of Equal Housing Opportunity (EHO) requirements and applicable program regulations
- Ability to operate a two-axle motor vehicle
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to perform all duties related to fine detail of mechanical devices
- Ability to operate all necessary tools to perform the essential functions of the position
- Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of OSHA standards and other environmental safety standards
- Ability to perform a variety of duties in all types of weather
- Ability to maintain 24-hour on-call status
Desired Qualifications
- HVAC Certification (preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire) *subject to needs of property deemed by property manager
