Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •High School Diploma or Equivalent
• •Minimum of four (4) years experience in building maintenance or construction related work
• •Reliable transportation
• •Valid driver license
• •Valid Vehicle Insurance
• •Knowledge of basic plumbing, HVAC, masonry, painting, and electrical work
• •Working knowledge of general maintenance tools
• •Knowledge of safe work practices, procedures and techniques (i.e. OSHA standards)
• •Knowledge of basic electrical wiring and repairs (i.e. light switches, bulbs, and ballasts)
• •Knowledge of proper paint and varnish application techniques and procedures
• •Knowledge of mechanical preventive maintenance
• •Knowledge of basic carpet, tile and drywall installation and repair
• •Experience with computer software and Microsoft Office Suite
• •Good time-management skills, the ability to prioritize effectively, and to multitask
• •Detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team
• •Good written and verbal skills
• •Good critical thinking and problem solving skills
• •Must be available for after hours, weekends and evenings as needed
• •Must be able to lift and climb
• •Must be able to travel 40% within Archdiocese of San Antonio geographical zone
• •Must adhere to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral Policy
• •Must take a solution-oriented approach
• •Must be able to respond to after-hours emergencies
• •Must be able to maintain security of the campus buildings
• •Must be able to protect the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization

Desired Qualifications

• •May require OSHA and/or First Aid certification within one year
