Job Summary
Maintenance Technician at Parkview Apartments in Minneapolis, MN, responsible for diagnosing and repairing defects, completing work orders and preventative maintenance, tracking inventory, and ensuring safety, code compliance, and high-quality appearance of buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas. You will respond to service requests promptly, assist with inspections, participate in after-hour/on-call coverage, and support resident relations while maintaining the property to company standards. Requires 1+ year(s) of multifamily maintenance experience, knowledge of plumbing/HVAC/appliance repairs, ability to use hand and power tools, and strong teamwork and communication skills. Schedule is Monday–Friday 8am–5pm with on-call rotation; compensation is $30.00-$34.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician at a multifamily community of 100+ units
- Experience and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repairs (stoves, refrigerators, washer/dryers, etc.)
- Must supply own hand tools and have knowledge and skills in safe use/maintenance of hand tools, power tools, mechanical equipment and measuring devices
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster positive relationships with residents and collaborate with team
- Ability to respond to after-hours emergencies and participate in on-call rotation
- Excellent customer service, attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well as a team
- Positive attitude
- Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical repairs (preferred)
