Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for mechanical maintenance across Baytown facilities, with emphasis on pumps, seals, vessels, exchangers, piping, valves, gear drives, and compressors; duties include supervising inspections, preparing technical reports in SAP, planning shutdowns, and supporting safety and environmental compliance; requires 5+ years of rotating machinery maintenance experience, familiarity with predictive/preventive maintenance tools, and ability to operate heavy equipment; on-call and overtime may be required; location Baytown, TX; on-site role with no relocation specified.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience with maintenance, start-up, and commissioning of industrial rotating machinery
- Experience with predictive and preventive maintenance tools (e.g., infrared thermography, vibration analysis)
- Skilled in precision measurements and rebuilding/maintaining rotating equipment (compressors, pumps, blowers, etc.)
- Ability to troubleshoot using equipment documentation and SAP (work notifications/work orders)
- Willing to participate in on-call rotation and work overtime
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to operate forklifts, manlifts, and overhead cranes (training provided)
- Crane lift supervisor qualification (air products)
- Strong safety focus
- Experience with SAP
